Ghana: Branchless Banking - Proceed With Caution

The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has issued a directive (notice no.BG/ GOV/ SEC/ 2008 /21) urging all banks, savings and loans companies and, indeed, other market players like telecommunications companies, technology service providers, and agents connected with any branchless banking model to proceed with caution.
