Dvelo.org(Beta) launches invite-only version of their site

Dvelo.org, a new online peer-to-peer style lending platform, has launched the invite-only, beta version of their interactive website.

Dvelo.org allows users to get a substantial return on their loans and the website’s feel is akin to a ‘facebook of lending’ and investment. The much anticipated system’s initial feedback has been quite positive, and the design and well-organized layout makes it as visually appealing as it is helpful to its partnered MFIs and easy to use for its users.

The service/site is invite-only for its users, but potential users can either submit their email at www.dvelo.org to join the waiting list or they can email contact@dvelo.org.

Potential MFI partners that are in search of US$ loans are encouraged to contact Dvelo at partners@dvelo.org. Some of the basic requirements for partnership include banking account in the US to receive funds, English communication capabilities, a MIX market profile, and a MicroRate performance rating of β or better.

Whereas most lending platforms specialize in project lending to individual entrepreneurs, Dvelo.org encourages direct lending to their partnered MFIs which is a very attractive feature of the system for MFIs, since it allows a more scalable model of raising capital than most other online lending platforms out there.

Dvelo.org, which stands for Development via Education, Lending and Opportunity provides  ”a new way for MFIs around the world to raise capital by attracting individual lenders with the same incentives that have attracted the current institutional investors. We have taken what we thought were the best features from other microlending platforms out there, added a few of our own, and put it all into Dvelo.org.”
